About the Role & Organisation An ASX, Sydney headquartered business is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Business Partner to provide health, safety and environment support across a defined portfolio. This is a critical role that combines technical expertise, leadership influence and stakeholder engagement to foster a strong safety culture and deliver safe, sustainable outcomes across key projects. As the business continues to evolve through new projects and expansion, you will be involved in innovative safety solutions that are aligned with business priorities. Your success will be measured by the quality and timeliness of your advice, implementation of safety strategy, proactive initiatives to address risks or competency gaps, and your ability to coach and influence others to achieve positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Provide expert workplace health & safety advice, guidance and support to leaders and employees; • Facilitate a culture of manager-led safety leadership across the division and support the implementation of safety strategies, management systems and processes; • Lead and/or facilitate incident investigations (ICAM or equivalent methodology); • Develop and deliver training, coaching and capability building activities; • Conduct risk assessments, incident trend analysis and provide evidence-based recommendations; • Monitor and communicate legislative changes and best practice initiatives; and • Build effective relationships with clients, regulators, unions and supply chain partners. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: • Formal qualifications in Work Health and Safety (Diploma or Degree); • Training in ICAM or equivalent investigation methodology (mandatory); • Minimum 4 years’ practical experience in WHS/OHS roles, ideally within construction, infrastructure or facilities management; • Strong experience in risk assessments, safety management plans and audits & ability to provide technical advice across diverse portfolios and industries; • Demonstrated ability to coach, influence and build strong stakeholder relationships; and • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high-quality reports. • A current driver’s licence.
