Maintenance Team Leader The Company This well-established agribusiness is a leader within their specialised field & supplying to both domestic and export markets. With proven systems and a genuine commitment to safety and sustainability they are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Team Leader to step into a critical role on one of their flagship farms. The Opportunity Reporting directly to farm manager, this is a leadership position that combines hands-on technical work with forward planning. You’ll take ownership of the farm’s machinery workshop, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standard and that operations run smoothly—particularly during the peak harvest period. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day maintenance and servicing of a diverse fleet of farm machinery and equipment Deliver fast and effective turnaround on breakdowns, especially during harvest (February–May) Manage workshop budgets, spare parts, and inventory levels Develop and enforce safety standards, including SOPs, JSAs, and workshop procedures Oversee and mentor workshop staff, while liaising with centralised maintenance crews and contractors Contribute to seasonal planning and preparation to ensure uninterrupted farm operations Machinery & Equipment You’ll oversee a broad range of equipment including: Tractors, ATVs, and specialist harvesting machinery (shakers, sweepers, pickup machines) Sprayers, fertiliser spreaders, trailers, and bins Chainsaws and small farm tools essential to day-to-day operations About You Trade-qualified mechanical background (agriculture, horticulture, or related industry highly regarded) Proven ability to manage workshop safety, including SOPs and JSAs Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure Financial acumen and confidence in managing budgets, stock, and reporting Leadership qualities — able to motivate, mentor, and guide a small team What’s on Offer Base salary of $100,800 incl. super fully maintained company vehicle 10% annual bonus Overtime during harvest season paid in addition to salary (April–May) Relocation support could be available for the right candidate Long-term stability and career development in a respected agribusiness Why Join?
