With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Department.  About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.  About the Northern Health Pharmacy Department: The Pharmacy Department operates across five campuses and has a strong vision to deliver exceptional, evidenced-based care to our patients â with a clear focus on research, medication safety and clinical excellence.  The department comprises over 100 pharmacists and 30 technicians to provide clinical, operational, quality and informatics services with a strong focus on workforce culture and commitment to professional development.  We are currently undergoing a period of expansion which provides unique opportunities for specialisation appealing to those wishing to challenge themselves and advance practice including pharmacist and technician advanced-scope roles, collaborative multidisciplinary programs and services, award winning medicine stewardship programs (e.g. analgesics, anticoagulants, antimicrobials and transitions of care) and care beyond beyond hospital walls.  Education and development of pharmacists are supported through structured and accredited intern, resident and registrar training programs.  About the Role: A casual opportunity exists for a Grade 1 or Grade 2 Pharmacist to join the team at Northern Health.  This role will have the potential to work at sites across Northern Health as required.  This may include work on weekends and public holidays as required.  The Pharmacist will have responsibility of the provision of pharmacy services across Northern Healthâs acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services.  They will ensure excellence in client care, evidence-based practice, and service improvement and risk management.
