What you'll do Scientific knowledge, expertise and skill in the delivery of pathology services within the disciplines of Transfusion Medicine, Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and specimen reception. Experience in the use of a laboratory information system such as AUSLAB. Ability to work in a diverse scientific role and perform duties with varying degrees of independence depending on experience. Ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner and an ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines. Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and with members of staff. Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification that enhance the delivery of pathology services within the local service area. About you We are searching for someone who has: Possession of a B App Sc (Medical Laboratory Science) or an equivalent qualification. Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skills within a multi-skilled laboratory. Ability to participate in a multidisciplinary team on a 5 of 7 day roster with on-call duties outside of rostered hours, and contribute a range of diagnostic skills relevant to the disciplines. Ability to apply established principles to the provision of results and advice in a client focussed manner. Perform duties with a high degree of independence and with infrequent supervision. Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification. Why work with us?
