Description Based at Brindley Park Feedlot, near Roma, the role of Chef works closely with our existing Cook in planning, preparing and cooking wholesome breakfasts and dinners for our onsite crew. Working a 10-4 roster, your day-to-day duties will include (but not limited to): Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, presentation and serving Planning menus, monitoring supplies, labour coverage and ordering stores Cooking nutritious and well-balanced meals are available for staff at designated times Escalation to and liaison with Managers on food preparation requirements and potential issues Maintaining safe food handling and storage at all times Utilising a range of food handling, preparation, cooking and storage techniques and procedures Coaching and training other staff Maintaining food safety and hygiene requirements Monitoring, stores and inventory in order to meet requirements of planned menus You’ll be rewarded with a salary of $77,000 per annum as a base income, plus superannuation, paid overtime and weekend penalties. About you You will bring at least three years of demonstrated experience working autonomously in a similar role, Diploma or Certificate IV qualifications, along with the following skills, ability and attributes: Knowledge of standards and regulations associated with safe food handling and storage procedures Ability to plan, organise and manage priorities to ensure time frames for food readiness is adhered to Utilization of stores and supplies to meet menu requirements Ability to prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements Flexibility and strong work ethic Willingness to undertake all cleaning and preparation activity Ability to demonstrate a commitment to OH&S/WHS policies, procedures and regulations Reliable and honest Experience living and working remotely is desirable About us: Australian Country Choice (ACC) are proud industry leaders in producing and supplying highest quality beef products to the local and export markets.
