About the Role The Junior Safety Advisor supports the implementation and monitoring of workplace health and safety (WHS) systems, policies, and procedures across projects and operations. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in safety who is eager to develop practical experience while contributing to a culture of safety excellence. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily safety inspections and audits on site to ensure compliance with WHS legislation, standards, and company policies. Support incident reporting, investigation, and close-out processes, including maintaining accurate safety records. Help prepare and deliver toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and safety training sessions. Monitor and report on site safety performance, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions. Assist in developing and maintaining risk assessments, safe work method statements (SWMS), and other safety documentation. Liaise with site supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors to promote safe work practices. Support the Safety Team in implementing initiatives that strengthen the organisation’s safety culture. Keep up to date with relevant WHS legislation and industry best practices. Skills & Qualifications Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or working towards). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with people at all levels. Attention to detail with good organisational and reporting skills. Basic understanding of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
