Overview Our client is a successful private real estate debt investor with a well-capitalised global partner. You will join as a key senior hire and work closely with the Head of Origination and Chief Executive Officer as well as the broader leadership team. The objective is to develop the firm’s distribution and access to the commercial real estate debt market and to contribute to the growth of the firm’s lending portfolio by delivering alternative debt solutions to clients across Australia. Responsibilities Originate new lending/investment opportunities in the roughly $3–$30m range. Retain and manage existing relationships, including broker networks and direct channels. Conduct credit analysis and underwriting; lead the structuring and negotiation of loan terms in alignment with the firm’s investment criteria. Collaborate with senior leadership to drive the firm’s lending portfolio and market access in Australia. Qualifications 10 years’ experience in a bank or private credit fund with a proven track record in business development and origination. Advanced knowledge in commercial real estate; strong credit risk analysis and management skills. Proven management and leadership experience, including mentoring juniors; excellent communication and presentation skills. Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset.
