496608 2A Walter Road West, Brightwater Inglewood, Inglewood, WA, Australia, 6052 Permanent Part-time We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join the Hotel Services team at our Inglewood residential aged care site on a permanent part-time basis. Whilst working in this rewarding role you will prepare and deliver high-quality meals that meet the diverse dietary and cultural preferences of clients while supporting the Chef and Hospitality Services team in providing a safe, compliant, and client-focused food service. To be considered for this role you must be available to work on a Wednesday and Thursday each week with hours of work between 6.30am and 2.30pm. Responsibilities include: Prepare high-quality, nourishing meals for clients that are well presented and served at the correct temperature Support and take instructions from the Chef and supervise Hotel Services staff as required Prepare and cook meals for diverse dietary needs including texture-modified, allergen-sensitive, cultural, and client-preferred meals Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Assist in inventory and stock control Manage the correct packaging, labelling, and presentation of meals Report any maintenance or safety issues Support documentation and compliance requirements Participate in special events and menu changes To be suitable for this role, you must possess: Minimum Cert II qualifications in Commercial Cookery or 3 Years of Relevant experience Significant experience working as a Cook Previous experience working in an aged care environment - desirable Demonstrated experience managing a small kitchen, supervising staff and working within budgetary guidelines, in a hospitality or aged care environment Knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in, the practical application Food Safety Guidelines and current legislation Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure and problem solve Sound computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft applications Self-motivated and the ability to work unsupervised, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as a flexible team member, responding positively to challenges and changes Familiarity with texture modified diets and International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) guidelines A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check Brightwater can offer you: The ability to salary package Our unique staff benefits program, including access to BrightwaterPlus which gives you discounts with over 370 retailers Extensive learning and development opportunities If you share a spirit that is caring, authentic, progressive and courageous then please read the attached job description for more information on the role, including a full list of duties.
