Requirements for this role: 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $76500 - $80000 per year Full-time hours A work visa will be provided for this role Key Responsibilities: Independently prepare and present a wide range of pastries, cakes, tarts, desserts, and baked goods Design and execute seasonal dessert menus and daily offerings Ensure consistency and excellence in taste, texture, and presentation Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen space (HACCP standards) Manage stock levels, ordering, and ingredient rotation Handle all tasks in the pastry section from prep to plating — confidently and without supervision Maintain a high standard of kitchen hygiene and food safety at all times Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a commercial pastry kitchen or patisserie Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of the pastry section Expertise in a variety of techniques: Choux, laminated doughs, sponges, mousses, entremets, glazes, tarts Chocolate and sugar work (highly regarded) Strong time management and problem-solving skills Excellent understanding of food safety, allergens, and portion control A creative mindset with a passion for modern dessert trends and innovation
