Their architecturally designed, boutique space boasts a light-filled front bar, relaxed pub dining, a cosy lounge and fireplace setting, private function areas and guest accommodation. The George Hotel is currently looking for a hardworking and dedicated Accounts Clerk to join their team. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and process documentation for accounts payable and receivable. Reconcile invoices, supplier statements, and process payments. Monitor creditor and debtor accounts, and follow up outstanding accounts. Prepare bank reconciliations and allocate expenditure to budget accounts. Record and maintain accurate financial data in ledgers and accounting systems. Summarise daily, weekly, and monthly expenditure and receipts. Assist in preparing reports on operating costs, budgets, and financial summaries. Maintain records of standard costs, quotations, and contract variations. Assist with inventory adjustments, costing analysis, and profit and loss calculations. Provide administrative support to the finance team and liaise with suppliers and customers as required. Skills and Experience: Relevant qualification in Accounts Administration, Bookkeeping, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of experience in accounts, bookkeeping, or finance support role. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry. Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes and reconciliations. Good organisational and time management skills.
