Our Opportunity - Due to rapid growth we seek a hard-working cultivation technician for full time employment. The position will involve all aspects of cultivation and processing in the production of cannabis and hemp plants. The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. What you’ll bring to the table - This is an entry level role and the candidate must be willing to learn and undertake all tasks in the cultivation process. Experience working with plants or related fields is advantageous. Work ethic and flexibility are crucial assets for this position. The cultivation technician will work directly with the Master Grower. This position is hands on with plants and other potential allergens that should be taken into consideration in the determination of candidacy. Your duties and responsibilities include : Following weekly task schedule Crop work on all stages of plants Propagation and harvesting of Cannabis plants Sanitation and documentation of completed tasks Mixing fertilizer and monitoring fertigation system Trimming and processing of Cannabis Adhering to quality control of product the ability to work at heights and stand for periods of time The candidate must meet the following criteria: High school certificate Able to work independently and follow a schedule Strong written and verbal communication skill Proficiency with computer operation and general software programs; word and excel able to work weekends and holidays; flexible schedule and on call rotation pass a national police check and medical clearance Drivers license and transport A certificate, degree, or diploma in related fields is an advantage, but not essential. The hourly rate will be according to the Horticulture Award, based of age and permanent employee rates.
