We are on the hunt for an Assistant Venue Manager for our Fosh venue in Hamilton. Tassis Group venues include Massimo Bar and Restaurant, Opa Bar & Mezze, Yamas Greek and Drink, Fosh, Rich and Rare , Longwang, Fatcow, Pompette and Dark Shepherd at the Casino, Stilts and Mulga Bills at the Green Bridge and soon to open Aunty on Wandoo St. Restaurants include the cuisines of Australian Steakhouse, seafood, Greek cuisine, Italian cuisine, and Latin cuisine. Job tasks and responsibilities not limited to the below We are currently seeking a customer focused assistant venue manager who can: Work as part of the Food and Beverage team to instill a culture of superior customer service Work alongside and supervise line staff. This requires having a working knowledge of all operational areas within the Restaurant environment Manage and execute the day to day operations of the restaurant Supervise, coordinate and train bar and wait staff to ensure high product knowledge and exceptional customer service is given every time Ensure the work area complies with the highest standards of cleanliness Be able to read and modify if required staff rosters to meet the needs of the bar and restaurant. Cash handling and till reconciliation Opening and closing procedures Stock Control The position involves day, weekend and night shifts including split shifts. Integrating the guest experience into all parts of the business: narrative, marketing, service and recruitment. Building guest relationships and responding to feedback that improves the experience. Collaborated with the head and group chefs to create and enhance the menu items and concepts. Labour management – reviews costed rosters and manage fluctuations in trade accordingly. Management of all revenue streams, identifying underperformance and taking immediate action. Management of COGS and expenditure FOH Assisting to ensuring the training and implementation of service standards. Conducting daily briefings with staff to communicate the business ahead and any feedback Monitoring all levels of customer satisfaction and handling customer complaints to ensure a positive outcome assisting Manager with Reporting and analyzing restaurant revenue and wage costs Monitoring bookings and ensuring maximum profitability when taking reservations Maintaining allocation of shifts and rostering levels Ensuring compliance in accordance with legislated government standards for liquor and food Skills and experience (before applying, ask yourself if you can demonstrate the following attributes) A true hospitality professional with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a high volume hospitality role Previous leadership experience Positive personality Exceptional personal presentation and hygiene Enjoy working with people Good organisational and time management skills Attention to detail Good interpersonal and supervisory skills Good communication skills An up to date RSA and any other associated qualifications.
