As an Estimator , you’ll play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders and quotes across a variety of projects, working closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Review tender documentation and develop a clear understanding of project requirements. Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and tender submissions. Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings, plans, and specifications. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and evaluate quotes. Identify and assess cost risks and provide value engineering solutions. Work collaboratively with internal teams to refine budgets and tender strategies. Assist in post-tender negotiations and handovers to project delivery teams. Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools. Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an Estimator role within [e.g. construction, fit-out, or civil] industry. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. CostX, Buildsoft, Excel). Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with clients, consultants, and suppliers. Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, or quantity surveying.
