The position involves morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, and care through the early evening. The successful candidate will be entrusted with transporting the children from school using the client’s vehicle, making safety and attentiveness essential qualities. Once home, you’ll help guide the children through enriching educational activities tailored to their needs, followed by some gentle wind-down time to help them settle after a busy day. Responsibilities will also include preparing light meals, assisting as required with end of day routines and ensuring the play and dining areas are clean and tidy. A mature and calm presence is key as one of the children has a mild mental impairment and thrives with patient, structured support. While not essential, a background in education or experience with children who have additional needs will be highly regarded. Have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid Have a car & driver's licence Be willing to commit for at least 12 months - Full working rights in Australia.
