About the Role Convair Engineering have an opportunity for a qualified Boilermaker/Welder to join the team on a full-time basis in Epping, Melbourne. As a Boilermaker/Welder, you will be required to provide fabrication of road tanker pressure vessels and associated equipment. This role will report to the Production Manager and collaborates closely with the workshop team. Key Responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings and sketches. Apply principles and techniques of marking out. Identify materials, and defects in materials. Perform thermal applications including bending, forming, shaping steel. Assemble & track prepared steel to drawing requirements. Safely operate a range of power and hand tools, including angle grinder, pistol drill, guillotine, cut-off saw. About You Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Relevant trade certification as a Boilermaker or in a similar field. A strong commitment to safe working practices and procedures. Proficiency in handling materials, tools, and heavy machinery. Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail. A positive work ethic and proactive approach. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
