First Aid Academy Pty Ltd – RTO 40920 is an innovative, professional first aid training centre and first aid supplies store. We foster confidence to care by offering nationally accredited courses and other services, including the sale and hire of rescue equipment, as well as providing first aid staff at local events. We cater for a wide variety of local organisations, nationally owned corporate businesses, government agencies, and the general public of Cairns & Far North Queensland. We are looking for a full-time, energetic and industrious trainer to join our growing team of expert first aiders in this exciting dual role! Vocational education and experiential requirements: Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) Older TAEs accepted Experience in public speaking or conducting group activities Sound computer skills Ability to work as part of a team to achieve a common goal Previous first aid training experience is advantageous Current open driver’s license Ability to learn to work with Retail Management Systems Trainer job role: Training and assessment in a range of nationally accredited and non-accredited first aid courses per ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority) requirements (professional development will be provided) First aid provision at local events Company promotion at various events Assisting other departments with general tasks Cleaning and housekeeping of training facilities and equipment Training onsite or offsite, sometimes in remote areas, and General tasks as required. Sales Rep job role: Successful sales of first aid equipment using various customer sales methods Evaluate customers’ needs and build productive, long-lasting relationships Company promotion at various events Assisting other departments with general tasks Cleaning and housekeeping of all areas of the FAA training and retail centre, as well as vehicles, as required General tasks as required. Your skills will be invaluable to us! Outside of teaching, there will always be opportunities to apply your administrative, IT, marketing, technical or compliance skills! Marine industry workers with equipment servicing knowledge are a bonus.
