We’re looking for a Lead / Principal Geotechnical Engineer who’s ready to take the reins — not just on projects, but on building a high-performing team and helping drive the business forward. About the Role Lead technical design, reviews and construction support for geotechnical projects including tailings storage facilities (TSFs) Act as Engineer of Record (EoR) for active projects Directly engage with mine operators, regulators and contractors Build and mentor a high-performing team of geotechnical engineers and designers Help shape MER Group’s technical direction, service offerings and internal systems Contribute to business development, including client relationships and proposal support Work closely with the Company Directors on growth strategy and project delivery About You 12 years in tailings or geotechnical engineering (including TSF design and construction) CPEng or equivalent (or eligible) Experience as EoR or technical lead on tailings projects A track record of building trusted client relationships and contributing to business development Ability to lead people, win trust and communicate with clarity Willingness to roll up your sleeves — we’re still a small team Availability to start ASAP About MER Group We’re not a big consultancy.
