The Role: Toolmaker As a Toolmaker, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our production operations by manufacturing, maintaining, and repairing tools, jigs, and fixtures. You'll work with both manual and CNC machinery, interpret technical drawings, and produce high-precision components that meet tight tolerances. You’ll also support machine and automation maintenance, light fabrication, and breakdown responses. Key Responsibilities Manufacture, maintain and repair tools, jigs, and fixtures. Operate a variety of Tool Room machinery, both manual and CNC. Design or modify precision tools and equipment as required. Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance tasks. Support breakdown response across all shifts when needed. Maintain accurate records of work using maintenance software. Collaborate with internal and external teams on tooling needs. Manage critical spare parts inventory and tool tracking. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in safety and process efficiency. What You’ll Bring Certificate III in Engineering – Toolmaking Trade (MEM31519). Proven experience in a similar toolmaking or precision engineering role. Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances. Solid understanding of WHS procedures and safety-first mindset. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work. Forklift Licence and experience with crane operations and rigging (desirable). Physically fit and able to perform the manual tasks required in the role. You will be required to meet the pre-employment criteria, which may include evidence of full medical, with drug and alcohol test.
