We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Structural Steel Detailer/Draftsperson to contribute to our continued success. The Structural Steel Detailer/Draftsperson is responsible for producing accurate and detailed technical drawings and fabrication documentation in accordance with client specifications, engineering requirements, and company standards. This position requires close collaboration with engineers, project staff, and workshop teams to ensure quality, compliance, and timely project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Produce detailed fabrication and technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Tekla Structures. Interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, estimators, and workshop teams to ensure drawings are practical and achievable. Prepare and issue material lists to support purchasing and production planning. Ensure drawings and documentation comply with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of drawings and revisions. Incorporate design changes and client feedback into drafting deliverables. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors as required. Support workplace health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures. Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualification in Engineering Drafting, Engineering Design, or a related discipline (preferred). Minimum of 5 years' experience in drafting, preferably within the metal fabrication or construction industry. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Tekla Structures. Ability to interpret engineering drawings with strong accuracy and attention to detail. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Current C-Class Australian Driver's Licence. A salary between $80,000 - $90,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
