We work with all the big names – Kenworth, Mack, Volvo, Scania, MAN – and the list keeps growing. We are currently seeking a Spray Painter / Sand Blaster to join our production team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday, thrives in a workshop environment with the opportunity to cross collaborate with our operation crew. Main Duties / Key Responsibilities: Operating blasting equipment to prepare and clean vehicle components. Masking, sanding, priming, and preparing parts for paint application. Mixing and applying primers, base coats, clear coats, and specialised finishes using HVLP equipment. Inspecting surfaces, correcting paint defects, and ensuring high-quality finishes. Maintaining spray and blast booth environments to safe operating standards. Supporting workshop teams across fabrication, electrical, and assembly departments. Assisting with general labour, housekeeping, and other production tasks as required. The Candidate: Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing or Surface Preparation and Coating Application (highly desirable) White Card and Forklift Licence (desirable) Current driver’s licence (essential) 2 years’ experience in spray painting and/or sandblasting (essential) Strong knowledge of HVLP spray equipment and blasting tools General workshop experience (automotive, fabrication, or warehousing) Ability to follow WHS protocols and Safe Work Method Statements Detail-focused with pride in delivering quality outcomes Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Team-oriented with a willingness to support multiple areas of production Positive attitude and commitment to learning new skills If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and join a team where your work makes a real impact, apply today and be part of K-Drive’s success story
