This is an exciting and new opportunity for a clinical expert to step into a leadership role, where you will coordinate and supervise a skilled OT team while delivering advanced, evidence-based care. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide senior-level occupational therapy care, while ensuring best practice in line with Occupational Therapy Australia, AHPRA, ethical codes, and SJGHC policies. The Position Provides clinical occupational therapy services to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills. Active participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings, case conferences and family meetings. Use of Evidence Based Practice clinical outcome measures and use of Patient feedback - satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities Ensure prioritisation and delegation of duties of occupational therapy caseloads for self and supervised caregivers. Promotes professional values and ethics in clinical practice. Demonstrates consolidated, current knowledge of research, evidence-based practice in occupational therapy and related clinical areas. Acts as a clinical consultant for the discipline and within the specialty Documents in the patient/clients healthcare record in accordance with the SJGHC policies and procedure Demonstrates strong, current clinical knowledge and skills and applies this to contribute to supporting individuals and teams in clinical practice. Leads and contributes to undergraduate student and volunteer programs and training. Leads and develops highly performing teams. Acts as a role model for caregivers in promoting professional values and ethics. All other reasonable duties as directed by the Allied Health Manager. Position Requirements To be successful in this role, you will hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA. You will bring advanced clinical expertise in a highly specialised area of practice within a healthcare setting, ideally supported by experience in a senior clinical position. Your ability to coordinate and lead service delivery within your specialty will be crucial in ensuring exceptional outcomes for both patients and the broader health service. We are seeking a strong team leader with a proven track record in developing high-performing teams, along with demonstrated skills in clinical supervision and mentoring. You will possess exceptional communication skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines. Experience in facilitating quality improvement initiatives and contributing to research projects will be highly regarded, as will your capacity for strategic thinking and service development.
