MEP Estimator – Consultancy Melbourne, VIC $120,000 - $140,000 Superannuation About the Role Our client, a leading consultancy specialising in the delivery of complex data centre and pharma projects, is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to join their Melbourne team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and procurement strategies for large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages within mission-critical environments. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates across all project stages, from feasibility through to delivery. Analyse design documentation and specifications to ensure accuracy in cost modelling. Manage tender processes, assess contractor pricing, and support negotiations. Provide value engineering input and identify cost efficiencies without compromising project outcomes. Prepare financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and risk assessments for client review. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives. Maintain an up-to-date database of MEP costs, benchmarks, and market insights. Skills and Experience Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. Experience within consultancy environments, ideally with exposure to data centre or mission-critical projects. Proficiency in cost management and estimating software such as CostX or Candy. Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage risks. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear, client-facing advice.
