Deputy Chief Information Security Officer We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (Deputy CISO) to help lead the University’s cyber and information security capabilities. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, this pivotal role will drive the implementation of the cyber security strategy, ensuring the protection of data, systems and networks across the University. The Deputy CISO provides strategic leadership in cyber security governance, risk management, incident response and policy implementation. They lead ISO teams focused on governance and threat intelligence, and play a key role in fostering collaborative relationships across the University and with external partners. This role champions a secure, resilient and research-enabled digital environment, driving continuous improvement aligned with the University’s values and strategic priorities. Your Impact: Drive the development and execution of the University’s cybersecurity strategy. Provide strategic leadership in governance, risk management, and incident response. Lead multidisciplinary security teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks, including ISM, SOCI, DISP, and ISO 27001. Build strong partnerships across the University, government, and industry to advance security outcomes. What You Bring: Proven expertise in developing and implementing enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategies. Deep understanding of threat landscapes, risk assessment frameworks, and incident response methodologies. Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
