Overview Join to apply for the Senior Design Engineer role at Fluor Corporation . Perth, Western Australia, Australia. This role is part of Fluor Australia’s engineering team, focused on delivering large-scale process and control system design for mining and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Detailed exposure to large-scale process/machine control systems (PLC/SCADA) for iron ore handling plants such as car dumpers, stackers, reclaimers and conveyors. Lead PLC/SCADA code development, testing and on-site commissioning with familiarity of BHP port asset control systems. Interface with other disciplines and 3rd parties to develop/review drawings, functional descriptions/specifications, commissioning test plans and related documentation. Follow client standards and apply to specific solutions. Contribute to project documentation such as execution plans and related deliverables. Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, clients, vendors and other stakeholders. Provide mentoring to less experienced engineers/designers. Apply strong analytical skills to solve problems with attention to detail. Participate in bid preparations, tender evaluations and related project activities. Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design activities, particularly in relation to functional safety of control systems. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Australian accredited 4-year engineering degree.
