About the opportunity: The Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS) is a multidisciplinary team providing specialist mental health support to women with moderate to severe mental health concerns during pregnancy and the first year of their baby’s life. Based at Liverpool Hospital or Queen Street, Campbelltown, we service the Bankstown, Liverpool, and Fairfield regions. Responsibilities Clinical care: Providing case management and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for women from their second trimester until their baby reaches 12 months. Leadership & collaboration: Working autonomously while contributing to a cohesive, multidisciplinary team. Service improvement: Driving best practices in perinatal mental health through education, consultation, and quality improvement initiatives. What You'll Be Doing The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert practitioner who, through leadership, facilitates evidence-based practice. The CNC will promote a service which fosters clinical excellence, research and professional leadership. The CNC contributes to quality health care by collaborating with health care providers and consumer groups, developing clinical practice standards and evaluating their outcomes. The CNC is responsible for providing services which facilitate effective management of care in the given specialty. Where You'll Be Working SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney. Services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, with a range of supports including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in the specialty field, plus approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field (or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate). Describe how you have provided expert clinical advice and leadership within a defined specialty and contributed to care plan development for patients with complex health needs. Explain experience in contributing to strategic and operational planning within a clinical service and supporting specialty-related education programs and research integration into practice to improve outcomes.
