Overview Aged Care Rapid Response Team (ARRT) is seeking an experienced Aged Care Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and leadership in the role of Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2. Employment details Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 4 December 2026 (with possibility of ongoing employment) Position Classification : Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 Remuneration: $2,527.30 - $2,577.70 per week Hours Per Week : 38 Requisition ID: REQ602709 Where you\'ll be working The CNC coordinates comprehensive hospital avoidance strategies to provide optimal care for people aged 70 and over within Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) and the community, in the lower North Shore area. The CNC facilitates fast track to diagnostic, assessment and treatment with the aim of avoiding presentation to hospital or returning the person to their residence in a timely manner and with supportive strategies in place. The CNC provides effective short term case management for older people, whilst building capacity within RACF staff through the promotion of evidence based practice and advanced care planning. What You\'ll Be Doing The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert nurse who will provide leadership, advice and recommendations on all aspects of nursing and consults on matters relating to the safe and appropriate use of nursing practices. The CNC will formulate and implement policy, guide practice development, and engage in education and research activities. The CNC is responsible for the provision of clinical supervision to nursing staff and acts as a role model, providing nursing care on a regular basis. Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Minimum five years full-time post graduate experience with 3 years full time equivalent in the specialty field. In addition the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification (minimum Grad Diploma/Certificate level) or evidence of working towards Masters level. Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework. Demonstrated ability to undertake quality improvement and research activities that influence and enhance clinical practice and implement change.
