What you'll be doing : Assist in opening and closing the workshop. Assess vehicles to accurately diagnose and repair issues. Inspect and assess vehicles to accurately diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts thorough inspection and repair. Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain signature approval prior to commencing work. Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues and repair estimate. Carry out routine vehicle maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune- ups, filter replacements, and other preventive maintenance tasks, while advising customers on any emerging concerns Tyre fitting, Tyre Balancing and flat tyre repair. Assist in performing necessary checks in roadworthy inspection. Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist. Describe the vehicle's condition to the customer and answer any follow-up questions. File appropriate documentation for each repair Compliance with Workplace Health and Safety. What we're looking for : Must have Australian recognized trade qualification Cert III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) or equivalent. Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience. Diagnostic and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Current driver's license. Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools and machinery. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Time Management.
