Our client, a leading critical mineral refining organisation, is seeking an Electrical Technician to support the construction and operation of their mine and processing plant based in Julia Creek. Friendly team environment Other details: Roster: 17/11 Day & Night Shifts – enjoy extended time off to recharge ( non-negotiable ) Start Date: Ready to welcome the right candidate as soon as possible Location: Julia Creek – relocate for a unique outback experience or travel at your own expense Responsibilities: Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and components, including wiring, switchgear, motors, lighting, and control panels. Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical faults, collaborating with the maintenance team and electrical superintendent to resolve complex issues. Perform repairs and overhauls on motors, circuit breakers, relays, switches, and other electrical components. Conduct electrical testing, including insulation resistance, continuity, and diagnostic procedures to ensure optimal performance. Support instrument technicians in maintaining and troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and testing to meet regulatory requirements. Follow strict safety protocols, identify potential hazards, and contribute to a strong safety culture. Qualifications & Skills required: Certificate III in Electrical Technology (QLD Electrical Licence essential). Proven experience in installation, fault-finding, and repair of electrical equipment. LVR/CPR certification (required). Confined Space Entry & Working at Heights (desirable). Strong understanding of industry standards and specifications. Professional, reliable, and safety-focused approach. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
