About the role We require a Tenant and Leasing Officer, to support the team in managing the lease lifecycle from negotiation to administration, to ensure smooth operations and tenant satisfaction of retailers in a large transportation hub in Melbourne CBD. This position is a vital link managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and is the primary point of contact for tenants. The key responsibilities of this role include: Assist in the negotiation of property related contract and lease negotiations Ensure all lease and applicable documentation is fully executed and maintained Effectively manage positive customer relationships with tenants to encourage retention and satisfaction Address any queries, complaints and requests of tenants promptly and efficiently Manage tenant maintenance requests and follow up Monitor and manage rental arrears Collate data and compile reports Oversee property register Process annual reviews and outgoing recoveries on a timely basis, ensuring leasing processes and agreements are compliant with contractual obligations Conduct lease/property inspections to oversee presentation, safety standard compliance and maintenance of property assets, ensuring high standards are maintained Create a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and manage risks as reasonably practical for all employees, retailers, customers, contractors, and visitors About you A strong communicator with the ability to build and foster key relationships, you will also be an exceptional administrator with a high attention to detail. We also require: Qualification in property or facilities management. Demonstrated experience in a commercial property management role, including a solid understanding of commercial leasing practices, legislation, procedures, and terminology. Sound knowledge of project coordination, budget management, contract negotiation and administrative fundamentals.
