We are currently accepting applications for the position of Director - Experiential and Immersive learning. This position will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight over our broad range of programs across the school. With four direct reports, this is a unique opportunity to join our community in a key leadership role. This position will commence at the start of the 2026 academic year and will be tenured for a period of 5 years. The role: A deep understanding of, and passion for, experiential and immersive learning Lead and design the implementation of a whole-school experiential learning strategy Evolve programs, ensuring they are progressive, inclusive, and align with Carey's educational priorities and values Ensure programs safely delivered through a high standard of compliance and operational safety Oversee program operations, including scheduling, documentation, risk assessments and budgeting Inspire and lead a diverse team of staff across different departments This position will include a small teaching component What do I need to succeed? Capacity to lead and manage high-performing teams across the school Strong understanding of risk management and compliance Experience with managing budgets, resources and operations Proven ability to drive continuous improvement through strategic thinking Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Deep commitment to student wellbeing and child safety A valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
