The opportunity Working within the Supportive Care division, reporting to the Accommodation Services Manager; you will be based across our two accommodation facilities, Milroy Lodge in Shenton Park and Crawford Lodge in Nedlands. The two busy accommodation lodges provide country cancer patients and their carers with subsidised accommodation whilst attending treatment in Perth. Based in Perth, this position is part-time (0.93 FTE) 35 hours per week, working hours are between 6 am – 1.30 pm Monday to Friday. What you’ll be doing: • Cleaning and servicing guest units, communal areas and administration buildings. • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of cleaning products, linen and consumables • Waste management duties • Changing of linen • Notifying and liaising with Manager when necessary for maintenance and repair issues • Liaising with reception staff regarding room availability About you To be successful in this role, you will need: • Previous experience in the areas of housekeeping • Previous experience of cleaning at an accommodation facility is desired • Strong communication and listening skills • Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness • Ability to work as part of a team • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA • Have a positive approach to the workplace • Experience in providing support to people diagnosed & living with cancer is desirable Why work for Cancer Council WA? • A collaborative and supportive team culture • Access to flexible work arrangements and personal leave options to support your wellbeing • Access to career growth opportunities, events, and training • Access to our Employee Assistance Program for personal or work-related circumstances, assistance with career planning, or working through challenging situations • Benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging and a meal entertainment card.
