Description The Supervisor is responsible for the successful execution of all delegated works by the workforce under their control, ensuring that work is completed safely, on schedule, to required quality and client specifications Key Responsibility Areas: Business Improvement: Engage in reviews with management to establish areas of improvement in costs and operational efficiencies. Provide feedback to management for areas where potential improvement is found. Continuous awareness of any business improvement opportunities in day to day operations. Quality/ QC: Supports the Project Manager in ensuring compliance to quality systems Communicate with client representatives on a day to day basis, to plan work, keep them informed of progress, resolve any issues of concern, and identify variations or additional work. Ensure that all electrical installation work is in accordance with the relevant (latest editions) Statutory Requirements, State Legislation, Australian Standards and Site Quality Requirements. Ensure all electrical installation work is inspected, tested and documents filed for future reference. People and Culture Facilitate prestart meetings with the crew Oversea Supervise, coach and mentor direct reports. Ensure that site workers have the necessary competencies to undertake assigned tasks. Identify training needs and organise training in conjunction with the Project/General Manager. Review performance and manage any performance issues as per procedures. Maintain a high level of communication and cooperative working relationships on site. Be proactive in resolving any workforce issues and concerns. Stakeholder Relations Assist the project manager to manage the complaints, compliments and feedback process relating to the project Work Health and Safety (WHS) Comply with the Kolsen Integrated Management System, Work Health Safety Act 2011, the Work Health Safety Regulation 2011 and any Codes of Practice. Take all reasonable care to protect the health and safety of yourself and other workers on site. Participate in rehabilitation programs as required. Contribute to the identification, recording and management of incidents, accidents and hazards in accordance with established policies and procedures. Immediately Pause or make safe any work condition or activity that could result in immediate harm and immediately notify the project manager. Skills And Experiences Selection criteria: Essential: Demonstrated leadership skills Advanced level skills in Excel and proficient across a range of MS suite platforms and other reporting systems and tools Exceptional communicator – in writing, spoken word and presentation. · High level attention to detail · Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work to tight deadlines Qualifications and Experience: Current Unrestricted Electrical Licence Current “C” class driver’s licence · White Card · Working-risk EWP and Forklift license Site based experience in Substation contraction industry work · Experience in electrical trade and understanding process of electrical installation Working knowledge and practical application relevant (latest editions) Statutory Requirements, State Legislation, Australian Standards and Site Requirements. Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings Assembly, fit-out and wiring of power distribution system Switchboards · Assembly, fit-out and wiring of control systems panels Custom and Modular Enclosure systems assembly · Managing subcontractors and your team Completed work packs · Testing of equipment · Installation of HV equipment · Sound computer skills, able to use Word & Excel Written communication skills-communicate effectively with the full range of people involved on and off site.
