Job Description As the Data Engineering Lead, you will oversee the data engineering operations within the organisation, delivering high-quality, robust, and scalable data pipelines, and enabling infrastructure to support business objectives across all company divisions. You will define the strategic direction of data engineering projects, including adopting the latest data technologies and methodologies, ensuring seamless integration and reliable delivery of data to internal stakeholders, and aligning infrastructure initiatives with the company's broader goals and vision. Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes. Collaborate closely with business units, technology teams, and other key stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide expert technical guidance. Implement and enforce data quality, data governance, and security standards to maintain data integrity and compliance. Optimise ETL/ELT processes to ensure high performance and reliability of data workflows. Communicate complex technical concepts and infrastructure capabilities effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You have… A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field. Proven hands-on experience developing data pipelines using Apache Spark. Proficiency in programming languages including Python and SQL. Strong experience working with modern data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
