Coordinator Traffic and Transport | Permanent, Full-time | Hurstville About the Role Georges River Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Coordinator Traffic and Transport who will be responsible for leading and delivering Council’s traffic and transport program. As the Coordinator Traffic and Transport, you will provide strategic leadership to build a proactive service, delivering an efficient, safe and integrated transport environment in our Local Government Area. Additionally, as the Coordinator Traffic and Transport, you will be responsible for advocating for and seeking funding for active and sustainable transport opportunities for the Local Government Area. What We Offer Permanent, Full-Time - 70 hours per fortnight Salary range $127,608.13 - $147,853.30 per annum, plus 12% superannuation, plus market allowance provision to be negotiated based on skills and experience 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance Leaseback vehicle OR vehicle allowance Opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight Hybrid working arrangement – with flexible start and finish times Health and Wellbeing Paid Leave Fitness Passport Program offering discounted membership for you and your family to selected facilities Employee Assistance Program Salary Packaging Options What We're Looking for Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Civil & Environmental Engineering Current Class C Drivers Licence Construction Induction (White Card) Minimum 5 years' experience in local government traffic and/or related fields Demonstrated experience in administering the Council Traffic Advisory Committee Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Councillors, Members of Parliament, state government department representatives and the community on traffic and transport issues Experience in preparing high quality concept designs for civil infrastructure road works Extensive knowledge of development application procedures and reporting Understanding of traffic engineering modelling software, GIS (mapping) software, CAD software Ability to provide advice on traffic and road safety issues pertaining to strategic plans and legal proceedings Demonstrated experience in the application of Australian Standards, RMS guidelines, Roads Act and other relevant traffic legislation Demonstrated ability to manage resources and promote a team environment to achieve team, and broader business objectives Demonstrated experience using Auto CAD Demonstrated experience in facilitating public consultation processes and high-level conflict resolution skills Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills Ability to work on multiple projects with excellent time management skills Knowledge and understanding of EEO policies and procedures If you possess the attributes located in the Position Description essential criteria, then please submit your application today.
