Georges River Council is seeking a skilled Senior - Assets & Buildings to play a pivotal role in the planning, management, and delivery of building assets. About the Role In this role, you’ll take the lead in planning capital works and preventative maintenance programs, ensuring our building assets meet community needs and expectations. You’ll be responsible for critically assessing demand across the portfolio, conducting condition assessments, scoping works, and managing contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes. Your expertise will provide valuable support and advice to stakeholders, helping shape decisions that impact our built environment. Through strategic project delivery and asset management, you’ll play a key role in keeping our community spaces thriving and functional—now and into the future. What We Offer Permanent, Full-Time position – 70 hours per fortnight Salary range $113,332.82 - $131,313.08 per annum, plus 12% superannuation, plus market allowance provision to be negotiated based on skills and experience 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance Opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight Hybrid working arrangement – with flexible start and finish times Health and Wellbeing Paid Leave Fitness Passport Program offering discounted membership for you and your family to selected facilities Employee Assistance Program Salary Packaging Options Sponsored Study Program Employee Rewards Program Ongoing Education and Resources What We’re Looking For Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Asset Management, or equivalent experience in a related field Current Class C Drivers Licence Construction Induction (White Card) Demonstrated experience in asset management Demonstrated experience in managing Consultants Understanding of risk allocation and the management of WHS in the workplace Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills Knowledge and understanding of EEO policies and procedures Demonstrated experience with forward works programming, financial control, and budget preparation Sound knowledge of PC applications software Sound knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards If you possess the attributes located in the Position Description essential criteria, then please submit your application today.
