About the role: Implement, monitor and evaluate the organisation's quality standards, policies, procedures and programs and provide clinical governance in the relevant CQHHS work area. Manage processes and functions to identify and avoid or minimise risks to patients, employees, volunteers, visitors and the Hospital and Health Services (HHS), in consultation with the Practice Leader - Clinical Quality Safety and Accreditation. Maintain current, accurate and secure records management practices pertaining to patient safety and clinical incident investigations (including recommendations and outcomes), adhering to relevant legislative standards at all times. Deliver pro-active commitment in the identification, implementation and evaluation of quality patient safety and risk mitigation initiatives and measures to facilitate continuous improvement and the achievement of quality standards (including NSQHSS, Aged Care Standards, Disability Standards and other relevant standards). Proactively assist business units in developing, implementing and monitoring patient safety initiatives. Review, assess and analyse data trends and produce qualitative reports for senior management to enable informed future decision making across CQHHS. Manage/support training of business unit staff in patient safety and risk mitigation in line with needs analysis, determined from consultation with clinicians and management. About you: Appointment as a Nurse requires current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificat. Appointment as an Administration Officer requires no mandatory qualifications though a relevant qualification is highly desirable.
