Main Purpose: As the HR Business Partner for Australia, you’ll lead the development of our HR policies, deliver tailored HR advice, and oversee and manage the entirety of employee lifecycle activities from recruitment to workforce planning and capability development, to budgeting and head counting, to redundancies and terminations. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities: Puma Energy are seeking a talented and highly motivated all-rounder HR practitioner to support their Australian operations for 12 months on a fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension. The role will support global functional initiatives, be a member of the Senior Leadership Team in Australia and have off-shore support for facets of the HR function. This is a critical and well-valued role in the Organisation and plays a pivotal part in the Operations in country, reporting to the Regional Head of HR – ME-AP. The successful candidate will be based out of the Brisbane City office. Key Responsibilities Supporting Regional and Global initiatives, working closely with Centres of Excellence; Working closely with the HR operations team offshore to drive excellent colleague experience; Providing advice and support to Line Managers across employee life cycle matters; Support best practice recruitment and on-boarding practices; Development and delivery of learning and development initiatives; Headcount and budgeting processes; and Working closely with the in country leadership team with talent management, succession planning, engagement and employee value propositions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar, all-rounder HR Generalist role, preferably liaising Senior Leadership Teams and/or Steerco; Extensive HR generalist background in an oil and gas, manufacturing or a similar industry; and A sound working knowledge of Australian industrial frameworks including the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and other relevant legislation. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate: A knowledge of and commitment to safe working practices and systems; Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or other relevant discipline; The ability to effectively develop, lead and embed positive change management strategies; Aptitude for learning and development, including strong facilitation skills; Enterprise Agreement negotiation experience; The ability to build strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders often remotely; Experience working with payroll teams; and Experience with HR Information Systems, preferably Workday Key Relationships and Department Overview: Internal and External Stakeholder
