We are developing the next generation of retail supply chain technology, focusing on warehouse management, transport/logistics, inventory optimisation, and demand forecasting systems. We are seeking a Solution Architect to enhance our platform’s performance, scalability, and resilience. You will be a Subject Matter Expert for the team's future technical architecture and provide the technology roadmap for our engineers during a series of greenfield projects. What you’ll be doing Engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand needs and design AWS-based solutions, identifying modernization opportunities. Collaborating with technology teams, especially the Enterprise Architecture team, to ensure alignment of merchandise and inventory solutions with broader strategies. Working with project, delivery, and iteration managers to prioritize initiatives in planning cycles. Leading technical innovation in merchandise and inventory systems, guiding the team towards scalable and future-proof solutions. Bridging technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business language. To be successful in this role you’ll have: Extensive experience designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions and microservices, with examples of success in scalability and performance improvements. Knowledge of retail and data-intensive systems, understanding technological challenges and opportunities in this space. Experience with event streaming technologies used in critical business decision systems. Ability to design adaptable, scalable solutions aligned with long-term business goals. Strong collaboration skills, with examples of effective cross-team engagement and AWS integration. Proactive problem-solving skills, especially in legacy migration challenges, with creative solutions for cloud transition. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
