About the roles As a Cyber Security Director you will lead the delivery of expert, contemporary cyber security services. We have roles across the following fields Application Security Cyber Governance Cyber Risk Remediation Cyber Security Operations Centre (Canberra & Brisbane CBD only) Identity Management Penetration Testing Platform Development Security Engineering Threat Hunt / Purple Teaming Vulnerability Management Review role specific information before submitting your application As a Cyber Security Director , within our Enterprise Solutions and Technology business area, you will lead your team's technical capability to deliver expert, contemporary cyber security services while building a strong foundation of trust and confidence in the ATO's digital environment. You will take on a leadership role in one or more of the following areas within the branch : cyber security operations, governance, strategy or program portfolio management. Your work will contribute to the delivery of secure, compliant and reliable systems that support the ATO's business objectives. You will lead, influence and actively communicate the strategic and technical direction for cyber security across the ATO. You'll drive change and continuous improvement in our cyber resilience capabilities, while managing threats and risks to safeguard our people, information, assets and services. You will ensure appropriate security standards and IT security controls are implemented in accordance with the Australian Government Information Security Manual and the Protective Security Policy Framework. You'll also propose and implement new security capabilities to meet organisational requirements, strategic objectives and ensure compliance with government security policies. In addition to your technical leadership, you will engage with internal stakeholders and IT service providers to ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, and ATO policy obligations. You'll develop robust policy and strategic advice that supports adherence to security frameworks and protects ATO and taxpayer information. You will also lead and deliver cyber education and awareness initiatives to foster a positive security culture across the organisation and the APS. These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Burnie, Canberra, Melbourne CBD or Wollongong .
