About the Project The Tram to Springvale Alliance (TSA) comprising BMD Constructions, CPB Contractors and Arup have been selected to deliver the Eastern Freeway Upgrades between Tram and Springvale roads. The major upgrade includes new express lanes, upgraded noise walls and revitalised sections of the Koonung Creek Linear Park. The Project is being delivered under an Alliance Contract with Major Roads Projects Victoria (MRPV) as the Project Owner and TSA (CPB, BMD and Arup) as the Non-owner Participants (NOPs). Together they form the Alliance working as one to deliver this critical infrastructure project. As a key component of the North East Link Program (NELP), this project will provide a safer, more efficient freeway connection for over 135,000 vehicles daily, removing 15,000 trucks from local roads, and reduce traffic across on the arterial road network crossing the Yarra River by 50,000 vehicles per day. We’re completing the link together and bringing it home for our community. About the Role BMD is seeking a highly experienced Project Controls, Earned Value & Risk Manager to join the Eastern Freeway Tram to Springvale Alliance (TSA), part of the transformative North East Link Project. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate performance tracking, risk oversight, and change management across the project lifecycle. You’ll lead a small team and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to embed best-practice systems and reporting tools that support successful project delivery—on time, within budget, and aligned with governance frameworks. Key Responsibilities Lead project controls and risk management across the full lifecycle. Oversee risk management processes, tools, and workshops. Manage Power BI dashboards and performance reporting. Ensure system integrity across JDE, FPM, and other platforms. Drive change management processes and assess impacts on cost, time, and scope. Champion Alliance culture, safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement. About You 10 years’ experience in project controls, risk, or related disciplines. Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or Business Strong skills in Primavera P6, Power BI, and ERP systems. Proven leadership in project controls and/or risk management. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
