As a member of our Australia division, you will work on some of the most challenging cybersecurity issues worldwide. Following a retirement, DI (Australia) seeks a new Head of Business Development to drive growth across key customer sectors. You will develop relationships, grow pipelines, and lead opportunities to successful contract awards, maintaining stakeholder relationships and contributing to business strategy with market insights. The Role : Support the General Manager in developing and implementing growth strategies Manage key stakeholder relationships with clients, partners, and BAE Systems groups Engage potential customers through white papers, proofs of concept, and proposals Lead, coach, and develop the Business Development/Sales team Manage pipeline generation and opportunities within Salesforce Coordinate with marketing to raise market awareness and organize events Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategy Lead major proposal activities and establish capture teams for large opportunities Collaborate on strategic planning with business units and capabilities teams Ensure internal stakeholder support for customer engagement plans Manage sales forecasts and reporting for order intake The Person : A strategic thinker with attention to detail Passionate about Defence & National Security Innovative, translating customer needs into action Excellent time management and team leadership skills Strong network within National Security and Defence in Australia Proficient in or quick to learn business development processes and tools Team player able to coordinate across global teams Analytical and open-minded in opportunity assessment A natural leader, capable of guiding diverse remote teams This role is based in Canberra (ACT) with a minimum PV security clearance.
