About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the end-to-end payroll function for a dynamic and growing retail business based close to the CBD area. This role is responsible for supervising one direct report and offers flexibility to WFH 1-2 days per week, with nearby street parking available if needed, as well as close public transport links. Key Responsibilities: Manage the fortnightly end-to-end payroll processing for a large and diverse workforce. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies. Supervise and support one payroll officer, providing guidance and overseeing day-to-day tasks. Liaise with internal departments including HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. Maintain payroll systems and ensure data integrity, including managing system upgrades or improvements as needed. Prepare payroll reports and provide analysis to support business decisions. Respond to employee queries in a timely and professional manner. Skills & Experience: Proven payroll experience within the retail sector. Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements. Experience working with large payroll systems; prior implementation or upgrade experience highly regarded. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
