About the role Are you passionate about driving project success through precision scheduling and strategic oversight? Essential Energy is seeking a Master Scheduler to join our Assets and Digital Division on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the development and implementation of scheduling and dependency management standards across a diverse portfolio of technology projects and programs. You’ll work closely with project and program managers and key stakeholders to ensure consistent application of scheduling principles, provide expert guidance, and deliver insights through performance dashboards and health metrics. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our digital transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals. This role can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint with Port Macquarie being the desired location. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain scheduling and dependency management processes, tools, and templates. Support integrated master schedule development and reporting across projects. Identify and manage cross-program dependencies and risks. Lead forums to enhance visibility and coordination across the portfolio. Monitor schedule governance, conduct health checks, and ensure compliance with Digital Delivery standards. Contribute to performance scorecards, dashboards, and reporting tools. About You You’re a strategic thinker with a strong background in project scheduling and portfolio management. You thrive in complex environments and are skilled at identifying risks, resolving conflicts, and influencing stakeholders. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail are matched by your ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively. In addition to this you will have: Experience in a PMO or similar function within a large organisation. Proficiency in Project Online and Power BI for schedule reporting. Strong understanding of methodologies such as MSP, PRINCE2, and PMBoK. Demonstrated ability to build and manage complex schedules, track critical paths, and deliver actionable insights. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. Advanced Diploma in Program Management, IT, or equivalent experience.
