Role Overview As a Joiner, you’ll play a vital role in transforming detailed architectural plans into handcrafted timber masterpieces. This position calls for skilled hands, sharp attention to detail, and a practical understanding of both traditional and modern woodworking methods. Key Responsibilities Plan Interpretation & Preparation Analyze drawings, specifications, and plans to select appropriate materials and determine the best methods to meet architectural intent with accuracy. Precision Fabrication Operate both hand tools and power machinery, including CNC and computer-controlled equipment, to craft joinery parts to exact specification. Component Creation & Assembly Produce components such as multi-panel doors, window frames, cabinet carcasses, and architectural joinery elements. Assemble these using techniques like clamping, pressing, wedging, and packing to ensure seamless integration. Staircase Design & Execution Independently construct and finish wooden stairs, from stair posts to handrails and balustrades, ensuring both structural integrity and refined aesthetic. Disassembly and Logistics Carefully dismantle completed joinery when necessary, preparing and packaging components correctly for safe transport. What We’re Looking For Skilled experience in reading and acting on technical plans and joinery specifications. Proficiency with both traditional joinery tools and advanced machinery (e.g., CNC, static machines). Proven ability in creating detailed timber elements, especially doors, window sashes, cabinetry, and stairwork. Strong competence with mechanical assembly methods - clamps, wedges, presses, etc. Care and precision in disassembling and packaging joinery for delivery.
