Our client is a long-standing, successful & stable commercial builder based in the outer South Eastern suburbs. They are an organised and professional business who currently have an experienced manager retiring, and are on the lookout for their next Warehouse Manager to step in. The types of projects this builder is building are large towers you'd see in the CBD, including Hotels, Apartments and Commercial Office Blocks There will be items coming in and going out of their warehouse every day, from machinery, steel beams and concrete reinforcement bars, doors, windows, raw materials, bricks, temporary fencing and scaffolding etc. We’re looking for a hands-on leader with strong change management experience and the ability to work with data to inform decisions and improve processes. This role would suit a seasoned DC or 3PL operations manager, ideally with a construction, automotive or similar fast-moving goods background. To be considered, you will have; ▪ Ten years as a Warehouse or Logistics Manager ▪ Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff ▪ Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills ▪ Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects ▪ Having strong communication skills to manage the internal and external stakeholder expectations. ▪ Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills ▪ Good personal presentation ▪ Ability to make decisions under pressure ▪ Good commercial and business understanding ▪ Exceptional time management skills. ▪ Medium to high technology skillset ▪ Having a HC Licence would be an advantage but not necessary In return the successful candidate will receive a permanent, long-term opportunity with one of the best construction employers in the industry where work/life balance is genuine (office hours).
