Join Our Team as a Support Engineer at PulseLive Salary band: 105,280 - 128,244 AUD This individual must have a willingness to relocate to the UK for training for 8 weeks alongside our UK-based Platform Engineering team. Hi, I’m Jonathan, part of the Platform Engineering team here at PulseLive, and I’m excited to invite you to consider joining us as a Support Engineer. If you’re someone who loves solving complex technical problems, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering reliable, scalable digital experiences — especially in the world of sport — this could be the perfect opportunity for you. What Your Day Will Look Like As a Support Engineer at PulseLive, you'll play a key role in keeping our systems stable, efficient, and user-focused. Each day, you'll work closely with engineers and product teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across our backend infrastructure and third-party integrations. You’ll be hands-on with our cloud-native platform — investigating production issues, writing scripts to validate integrations, and carrying out preventative maintenance to avoid future incidents. Whether you're deep-diving into a root cause analysis or responding quickly to a customer query, you’ll be helping us maintain the reliability and performance that our sports clients and fans around the world count on. You’ll also bring your experience and analytical mindset to suggest and implement improvements — not just patch fixes, but long-term solutions that strengthen the platform. What We Value At PulseLive, we’re all about high performance — in our products and our people. Our team thrives on ownership, collaboration, and delivering great results without a lot of hand-holding. As a contractor in this role, you’ll need to be self-driven, technically sharp, and comfortable dealing with varying levels of ambiguity — from tightly scoped tasks to open-ended briefs. We’re also a remote-first team working across time zones. While this role is based remotely, it’s important that your working hours align with the Australia/APAC region. And to help you ramp up effectively, we’d love you to spend 2–3 months in the UK alongside our core team for onboarding and training. Tech Stack and Skill Requirements You don’t need to tick every box — but here’s what we’re looking for: Solid experience operating distributed systems at scale Strong communicator — able to work across teams and with clients Good working knowledge of SQL and databases Infrastructure experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, DNS, and Infrastructure as Code Observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana Programming experience with an object-oriented language (preferably Java) Analytical, quality-focused, and comfortable with independent problem-solving Experience balancing speed and stability in fast-paced environments Ready to Make an Impact? If you’re someone who thrives on solving real-world technical challenges and you want to be part of a global sports tech team delivering experiences to millions of fans, we’d love to hear from you. At PulseLive, you won’t just be supporting our platform — you’ll be helping shape the future of how fans engage with the sports they love.
