Our client is seeking a skilled Metal Spinner to join their high performing team at their facility in East Brisabne. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality spun metal components from a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, copper, and mild steel. This hands-on role is suited to a highly experienced tradesperson who values precision, takes pride in their work, and is committed to safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Include: Perform manual metal spinning across a range of metals and thicknesses. Manufacture mandrels, jigs, and tooling from both steel and timber. Carry out remedial and finishing operations such as trimming, polishing, and correcting imperfections. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance. Operate and maintain metal spinning lathes, presses, and related machinery. Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and customer specifications. Collaborate with the production team to enhance efficiency and quality. Adhere to WHS policies and promote a safe, clean working environment. Perform other related duties as required by the Workshop Manager or Production Supervisor. Skills and Qualifications: Hold industry relevant qualification with experience in manual metal spinning with a variety of metals. have at least 1 year of fulltime industry relevant metal spinning/fabrication experience. Skilled in the fabrication of mandrels (steel and timber). Ability to carry out high-quality remedial and finishing work. High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong capability in reading and interpreting technical drawings. Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to safe work practices in line with Australian WHS standards. This position is fulltime with a salary of $70,000 - $90.000 depending on skill and qualifications.
