About The Team The ASD Psychology Services team is a large team of Psychologists and other professionals who help support ASD's mission. We provide a supportive and collaborative environment for our psychologists to apply their clinical and forensic skills in support of National Security. ASD Psychology Services provides high quality services to support its national workforce. Our team is dispersed across locations in Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne. About The Role The ASD6 Security Psychologist can expect to develop their clinical or forensic skills to support core security functions for the organisation. They will utilise psychometrics to formulate complex whole-of-person assessments, manage a therapeutic client load of complex clients, deliver specialised workforce training, and contribute to team management of complex cases and organisational initiatives to maintain national security. The EL1 Security Psychologist is an experienced, senior clinician who, in addition to ASD 6 duties, can expect to lead a Portfolio area, develop and implement governance, provide specialist advice to ASD leadership, and utilise strong communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders. There is also the opportunity for candidate’s to develop their clinical supervision and leadership skills. The diverse nature of the roles means that candidates will be supported to pursue their professional interests and will be provided with ongoing clinical supervision to meet registration requirements. Qualification, Experience & Training: The successful ASD6 candidate must: Be currently studying toward a Masters level qualification in psychology (ACAP approved Clinical or Forensic Psychology program); and Be eligible for, or hold, current unconditional general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); and Be eligible to undergo, or completing, a Psychology Board of Australia (PsychBA) approved endorsement pathway in Clinical and/or Forensic Psychology; and Be eligible for membership with the Australian Psychological Society. Early career psychologists or registrars are encouraged to apply. The successful EL1 candidate must: Have completed a minimum Masters level qualification in psychology (ACAP approved Clinical or Forensic Psychology program); and Have completed a Psychology Board of Australia (PsychBA) approved endorsement pathway in Clinical and/or Forensic Psychology; and Hold current unconditional general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); and Be eligible for membership with the Australian Psychological Society.
