The Role We’re seeking an experienced and commercially astute Commercial Credit Manager – Property Development to join our team at Pepper Money. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for assessing credit risk and creditworthiness across a range of commercial construction and development finance transactions, ensuring alignment with Pepper’s credit policies and service standards. You’ll play a critical role in shaping credit decisions, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, and well-informed assessments that support both risk management and business growth. Credit Assessment: Apply your expertise and lending authority to assess commercial construction and development finance proposals in line with Pepper’s credit policies. Feasibility Analysis: Review and interpret property development feasibility models to assess project viability and identify potential pathways to approval. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with valuation and quantity surveying firms to support robust and informed credit decisions. About you We’re looking for a credit professional with a strong background in commercial property development finance. Ideally, you’ll bring: Experience: 3–5 years in commercial credit assessment or underwriting, with an approval delegation in development finance. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction and development risk, including experience reviewing property valuations and quantity surveyor reports. Analytical Skills: Proven ability to assess feasibility reports and provide clear, commercially sound recommendations.
