The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals in line with our venue standards. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion controls, and quality standards. Ensure food is presented in a consistent and appealing manner. Assist with menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Monitor stock levels, assist with stock rotation, and minimise wastage. Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service. Adhere to workplace health and safety guidelines and venue policies. Support the Head Chef / Venue Manager with kitchen operations as required. Skills & Experience: At least 2 years' proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar role in a busy kitchen. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Food Safety Certificate desirable). Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Creativity and passion for food presentation. Team player with excellent communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as rostered. Qualifications (desirable but not essential): Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification. Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
